Each piece is drawn for its setting. I visit your property, talk through what you need, and agree drawings and samples before any forging begins. I work sympathetically on period and listed homes as well as new builds.
The ironwork is made at my forge in Elland and installed by me, with site work carried out across West Yorkshire and Lancashire.
What I make
Staircases & balustrades
Hand-forged stair rails, balconies and Juliet balconies, from slender and modern to richly scrolled.
Arbours, obelisks & planters
Garden structures in forged iron that weather with grace and give a planting scheme a framework.
Fireplace & interior metalwork
Fire screens, baskets, dogs and tools, along with light fittings, curtain poles, door furniture and hardware.
Restoration & repair
Careful repair of historic ironwork, including re-forging missing sections to match the original.
How a commission works
Start with a conversation. Tell me about the project, send photos or measurements if you have them, and I will arrange a visit. You approve the design before I begin, and I keep you in touch as the work progresses.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the forge and is there parking?
I am at Bridge End Works, 7a Unit 3, Saddleworth Road, Elland HX5 0RY, West Yorkshire. There is parking just over the road.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully covered by public liability insurance.
Where do you install ironwork?
I carry out ironwork installations and site work across West Yorkshire and Lancashire. My forge is in Elland.
Do you work on listed and period homes?
Yes. I take care to design ironwork that suits the architecture of the property, and I repair historic ironwork, including re-forging missing sections to match the original.
Do I see a design before you start?
Yes. Drawings and samples are approved before forging begins.
